The National Art Education Association is a professional art education community that WKU Art Education pre-service teachers actively participate. The NAEA provides WKU art teacher candidates with exemplary teaching ideas, leadership opportunities, and invaluable professional network with fellow in-service and pre-service art teachers across the nation.
2014 NAEA annual conference in March was held in San Diego, California and 15 WKU Pre-Service art teachers and faculty members attended.
Previous years’ conferences were in Seattle (2011), New York City (2012) and Fort Worth (2013).
Future conferences will be New Orleans (2015), Chicago (2016) and New York (2017).
