For the past 16 years since 2002, WKU Art Education program has established a successful collaborative relationship with the WKU Center for Gifted Studies, and host the Super Saturday art programs twice annually, in the winter month of February and during October-November each Fall semester. Four sessions of two hour and half art classes are planned and instructed by the WKU Art Education pre-service teachers. This Saturday art program offers unique opportunities for the WKU Art Education teacher candidates to interact and teach the amazingly talented elementary and middle school students recommended by their schools from all over the south central Kentucky and Bowling Green area.
