SmART HeART ART Club

This club is a partnership between WKU Art Education professor Dr. Choe and Warren Elementary 5^th and 6^th grade students. Ms. Kaylynne Jones, a prospective Elementary Education teacher at WKU who is also Dr. Choe’s student, came to teach Spring 2016 sessions in an after-school setting sponsored by Mrs. King, Warren Elementary ESL teacher.

5^th and 6^th grade students participated in a collaborative project by responding to a haiku book created by WKU students. Ms. Jones led students in creating responses for WKU students. The focus of all the Art club sessions involved memories and identity. This program is funded by WKU Institute of Citizenship and Social Responsibility (ICSR).
